Spring is in the Air and other Stories

How did that happen, February is just about over? It does feel like spring is coming, flowers are starting to bloom, the eagles are out in full force and the sun has played some peek-a-boo with us.

We have been having some awesome workouts, even if I haven't written about them lately. The miles for the Sunday group are climbing, we are coming up to 9 this weekend. The Boston and Edinburgh marathoners are up to 17 and 18 miles. Races are just around the corner.

New groups starting in March: Hiking, Advanced Bicycling and Short Distance Bicycling. Need more info? Write me as soon as you can. Info meeting next week.

Here are some photos of what some of the group have been doing, but not limited to.....
Birthday-Valentine's Day and Orienteering Party. Carkeek Park, bald eagles, osprey and mountains.
Lakeview Historic Cemetary with "famous" people: Bruce and Brandon Lee, Yesler,  Horton, Doc Maynard, Denny, etc. Blaine Street stairs Garden, Mt Kilimanjaro, Camano Island and the White Center 5 km.

Congratulations are in order for the racers on the Lord Hill Trail Race. Seujan did awesome on the 50km (31 miles) with 5100 feet of elevation gain and Anna on the 20 miler with 3400 feet of elevation gain. Wow awesome racing.
