Winter Hike

This winter hike was a nice 40+ degrees and no rain. Great views of beautiful mountains and mossy trees. Starting near North Bend we hiked the Iron Horse Trail from the State Park to the cool old railroad trestles of years gone by. A lovely 12 mile jaunt for all.

Winter Schedule

The cold weather made it just a little more difficult to workout outside, but not impossible. Some folks popped indoors during the worst of it, great time for a spin class, eh? Now, of course, the "warmer" temps and rain are back we are all feeling a little bit better. Right!!???

With the holiday eating schedule starting, make the time to do a workout to offset the extra calories. Next Sunday, 12/15, is the 12k's of Christmas (5 or 12 km) and the following Saturday, 12/21, is a Magnuson Park Series 5, 10 0r 15 km and. See links on the side for their websites. Get out and run or walk with your buddies, in a race or on your own route.

The new T-shirts with the cool new logo are in!! Short-sleeve now, long sleeve and tanks in January. The matching socks will be here next week. Cost: short sleeve $15.00 and socks $8.00, both include sales tax.

Thanksgiving Weekend = Races

It started with two Seattle favorite Turkey Trots on Thursday. One on the east side of Seattle at Magnuson Park and the other on the west side at Golden Gardens, either way you couldn't go wrong with fun times with friends. At the same time Nicki was burning up the streets on Bainbridge Island and Seujan was way over in Atlanta running an awesome time in the 1/2 Marathon.

Then Saturday was the Seattle Ghost 1/2 Marathon, where several team members cruised up and down Lake Washington Blvf and around Seward Park.

Races were finished off with the Seattle 1/2 Marathon on Sunday. The promised rain did not happen and the winds let up early on.

Congratulations to all participants!! GO TEAM!!

Busy Weeks

One would think with the fall/winter upon us and the cold dark and wet days, we would be holed up sitting on the sofa. Not this group. We are working out hard and enjoying the season. Here are some photos from the last few weeks.

Stay tuned because with all the Turkey Trots and 1/2 Marathon races starting today through the weekend, we have lots to talk about.
