Warsaw Marathon

Great race, wonderful weather with perfect 55-60 degree temps, organization gets a A+ and lots of spectators (even if I couldn't understand what they were saying). There were people from 47 countries in the race, 7000 full marathon racers and 4000 5 kmers, only 17 percent in the full were women! Results aren't up so don't know how many 60 year old women :)

At the start

Crossing one of the bridges, which made up all

Lake Lillian

What a most fabulous day for a hike. Not too hot, almost alone on the trail, beautiful lakes, fall colors and wonderful hiking buddies. There was plenty of uphill, downhill and rocks, as well as some cushy trails too. And views... check out Mt Rainier!

High Pass Challenge and Other Events

The Sunday group is moving along, miles increasing over time. Main race goals on Thanksgiving weekend are the Seattle Ghost and Seattle Marathon. A few people are running the Vancouver Rock N Roll in October.

A group of our amazing riders did the High Pas Challenge a week ago. It was beautiful (at least on the 60 miler), or wait was it, the weather was not ideal for a bike in the mountains (especially for the 114 miler). It was foggy and cold, did I say cold, especially on the downhills, you know when you are shivering so much the bike rattles. Anyway, everyone had a successful and safe ride.
Congratulations to Sandra, Ann, Niki, Alyson, Deb Fo and Rita

Congratulations to June on the Iron Girl Triathlon a few weeks ago.

Next weekend begins Cycle Oregon with Carol and Deb Fe on their bikes. And the Grand Fondo Whistler with Niki, Linda and Sandra doing yet more mountain passes this year.

Betty and Susanna start their bike ride from Philadelphia to Washington DC
Rachel and Betsy are still walking and walking continuing on the Camino de Santiego.
Contact me if you want updates on any of these events our team members are doing.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL
