Rainy and Windy Hike - Nope

Even though the weather forecast wasn't looking great, we headed off to Rattlesnake Mtn. to enjoy a "soft" hike. And wonderful it was, hardly any people, no rain, a little breezy near the end, but all and all a fabulous, fun hike.

The drive home with the wind, blown over trees across 2.5 lanes of I-90, pouring rain and the white caps on Lake Washington made for quite a thrilling drive.

RAW, RSVP and Another Great Hike

We had a strong showing at this year's RAW event (Ride Around Washington), a week long riding extravaganza with over 400 miles of riding! Congratulation to: Ann, Cris, Jan, Karen W, Linda S, Lloyd, Mike, Niki, Sandy, Sue.

This weekend was RSVP (Ride to Vancouver and Party). Linda S and Lloyd were at it again as well as Don H!

Go TEAM

Our hike on Saturday was to Gem Lake, just past Snow Lake at Snoqualmie Pass. We had peace and quiet until coming down after Snow Lake and the trail turned into a 4 lane highway. Good thing we left early. Had a wonderful time as it was not too hot, a little misty with fog coming in and out. Also how can  you go wrong with a birthday celebration for Merilyn with brownies. Yum.

Yet another hot, rocky hike

We bagged 3 lakes and a waterfall on today's hike. There were also many dry streams and some of the trees are already changing colors - tell tale of the hot, dry spring and summer we have had. As you will see below, we met up with quite a few old growth trees, really amazing and beautiful

Our hike near Skykomish went along the West Fork of the Foss River to Trout Lake, Lake Malachite and Copper Lake.
