This Week's Racing and Training Notes

Ah, summer even in the rain. We had some good workouts this week and the weekend brought pr's and happy racers at the Seattle Rock N Roll 1/2 Marathon.

Congratulations to all Saturday racers!

Anneke placed 9th for women overall!!! She creamed the course with a 7 min/mile pace. 
Pamela and Cathy ran their first 1/2 and yes they will be back for more, many more.
And with them Anita, Annemieke, Carolyn, Jen, John, Judy, Max, Laurie, Leianna, Linda, Michele, Sharon, and Therese enjoyed the new flatter route, sunshine and music along the way. PR's and fun times by all.

Even though we are out in the great outdoors all year round, it sure is nice when the weather is somewhat predictable and we know the sun will be shining or at least be rain-free for our sporting events.

More fun this weekend. Carrie, Karen and Kris raced the Dilettante Olympic Triathlon on Saturday. Congratulations!! Karen and Kris placed 3rd in their age group - yeah!!!

We had an awesome hike on Rattlesnake Mtn on Saturday. Check out beautiful views we had. Sunday was the last Sunday run/walk group until August. We closed out the spring racing season with a yummy potluck including Sabina's vegan carrot cake!! Good luck to all Seattle Rock N Roll racers next Saturday.

We Keep On Moving

So here's what last weekend brought:

Seujan was #1 for master women (and 4th overall for women) in a 50 mile trail run - Rainier to Ruston!!
Ericka re-qualified for Boston at the Newport Marathon
Scott raced the Issaquah Triathlon
Sarah W raced the Rock Hall Triathlon in Maryland
Ann rode the Wenatchee Century
Laura and Sharon had terrific finishes in the Duvall 1/2 Marathon
Betty, Eileen, John and Susanna blazed through the North Olympic 1/2 Marathon course in Port Angeles

And bravo to all the riders going around Lake Washington and the runners and walkers going UP to Volunteer Park on Sunday.
