Raced and Racing

Yesterday was the Inaugural USA San Diego Invitational Half Marathon.

Anna, Annemieke, Cheryl, Jamie and Tristan flew down to take part. We retrieved cool comfy jackets instead of a t-shirt. The weather was warm for us Seattle cool weather runners, but we all persevered. Jamie PR'd - awesome. Congratulations TEAM.

Next weekend we have many Ghost and Seattle Marathon 1/2ers. Good Luck to all.

More Workouts in Paradise

Well the rain and the wind have become the norm for us this winter. I think we all are a little spoiled by the dry weather last year. So time to don those rain jackets and get out!

Today was an amazing workout at Alki, the 13 mile runners and walkers were happy with the lack of rain, wind and the appearance of sun.

Race weekends are upon us. The San Diego Invitational 1/2 Marathon next weekend followed by the Seattle Ghost and Seattle Marathon the following week.

Autumn Weather

The trees are shedding their colorful leaves, then mix that with the rain we have been having gives us slippery streets and sidewalks. Pay attention as you bike, hike, run and walk around town. One of the biggest problems though is the leaves are covering up the nasty potholes in our lovely city. So stay attentive to where you put your feet and lift those legs up off the ground.

Runners and walkers are getting ready for the November races. There are many birthdays to celebrate, including one with a donut challenge (a.k.a. playing in the park).

Congratulations to the New York Marathon finishers!!!! Carrie, Helen, Jenn, Laura and Liz
