We hiked the Ira Spring Trail and the Mason Lake trail, saw a couple people on the way up and at the lake and not too many on the way down. What can I say: perfect weather, awesome views, wonderful maintained trail and great hiking buddies.

 

Sad News and Happy News

Last week, a training buddy of ours, Deb Taylor passed away. We will miss her quick smile and lovely personality. The memorial is Saturday, October 24th, if you would like details, please contact me.

Ann and Karen both placed 1st in their age groups in the Leavenworth 1/2 Marathon a couple of weeks ago! Yay TEAM.

                             The Tuesday group had a spectacular run at Discovery Park!

Warsaw Marathon

Great race, wonderful weather with perfect 55-60 degree temps, organization gets a A+ and lots of spectators (even if I couldn't understand what they were saying). There were people from 47 countries in the race, 7000 full marathon racers and 4000 5 kmers, only 17 percent in the full were women! Results aren't up so don't know how many 60 year old women :)

Countdown to the Warsaw Marathon on Sunday. Goals right now: getting used to the time change, the water, the food and not walking too much as we go sightseeing in this fabulous city.

CherylFest and Other Fun Events

Wow, today was the best Party ever!!! Lots of good food, yummy cakes, an amazing venue, fun songs and of course terrific people.
