Still Summer and More Events

No stopping our team. Here's what we have been doing.

Ann is riding in Utah, so is Sue, Alyson in Turkey, Janice and Greg in France, and Sandy in Italy. Some of us are still happy to be riding in the sun in the Seattle area.

Merilyn at the Black Diamond 1/2 IM too!
Thea raced the Escape from the Rock on Mercer Island

Rebecca ran the Iron Girl 5 km at Green Lake
Karen swam and came in 3rd in the 2 mile Swim Across America at Mercer Island
Evy is running cross country and flying along the trails

Ericka qualified for Boston today in the Light at the end of the Tunnel Marathon- yea!

And many of us are getting ready for our fall races in the Sunday run/walk group.

Biking and swimming too!

While many of us were running on Saturday, some of our training buddies were biking and swimming.

Five of our Team members took the RAPSody Challenge - Ride Around Puget Sound and enjoyed a beautiful weekend in the sun. 165 miles with 9600 feet of elevation gain.

And Sandy swam the 1.4 mile Park to Park event across Lake Washington on Sunday. Go Team!

Seattle 10km Success

What a fun time we all had at the Seattle 10 km this morning. Temperature was a perfect 55 degrees at the start with the sun already shining. The course was challenging with many long up and down hills, but that doesn't stop this team!

So many events and races, we've been a busy team!

Wowser Weekend

We've been a busy Team the last couple of weeks. In addition to the list in the last post, here's what we've done:

Karen W swam 3 miles at Fat Salmon - wow!
Nancy, Deb and Cheryl - Seattle Day and Night Street Scramble, 3 hour - 1st Place Veteran Women - wow!
Niki and Darlene had a great time at the Seattle Century bike ride - 100 miles no problem - wow!
Gale, Merilyn and Cheryl rode 86 miles in 88 degree weather in Spokane at the 8 Lakes Leg Aches bike ride - wow!
Molly finished her ride across the country finishing in Washington DC - wow!
David finished his first trail 1/2 marathon in Bend - wow!
 Ann, Carrie, Cris, Karen D and Seujan did awesome in the Troika 1/2 Ironman in 95 degree weather - double wow!!
Tuesday and Thursday run groups had fun finding controls in a Woodland Park orienteering.

Wildlife and races

There has been some great wildlife viewing during our workouts. We have seen eagles, owls, hawks, great blue heron, osprey, rabbits, otters and more... (not counting all the cows and horses)
