Swim, Run and Hike

Karen D and Carrie did the Aquarun for Children in Tacoma, 1.5 mile swim and 5 km run. Wow they rocked even if the water was, brrr, cold. Karen D was the 3rd woman overall in that race.
Karen W raced the 5 km swim, yes that is 3 miles worth of cold swimming and took her age group!

The hike to Kendall Katwalk was awesome. Check out Merilyn's amazing photos.

Fall Events

Fall is here, even though you wouldn't know by the temperatures, and everyone is settling in to training for their races and events scheduled for this time of year. Not too late to sign up for a bike event or running/walking race.

Well let's see, since the last post lots has happened.

Cheryl ran the Reykjavik Marathon, she had a fun time on a beautiful route.

April ran the Skagit Flats 1/2 Marathon and took 12 minutes off her old course record!!

Nicki raced the 5 km Women of Wonder at Green Lake.

Leslie and Carrie biked the 152 km (93 miles) Grand Fondo, from Vancouver to Whistler. Leslie was 2nd in her age group!

Sandra and Alyson rode the High Pass Challenge, haven't gotten the scoop yet, but I bet it was beautiful up there at Mt St Helen's.

Heidi and Fritz rode back to back 60 and 25 miles as part of the MS 150 bike ride.
And Seujan and Team Amy Works rode the whole thing 80 and 72 miles in the two days.

June placed 3rd in her age group at the Escape from the Rock sprint triathlon!!!
Go TEAM!

Coming up next:

And many more training miles..........

Summer goes on

The weather has been absolutely beautiful lately, yes even the rain was nice, especially for our gardens.

The Sunday group is in full swing as people ramp up for September, October and November races. Check out who is doing what below.

Congratulations to the Iron Girl Sprint Triathlon finishers last weekend: Carrie, Jennifer C and June.

And a big WOW to the RAW (Ride Around Washington) riders pedaling hundreds of miles around the Olympic Peninsula: Deb,  Linda, Lloyd, Niki

Ann is pedaling her way around the Canadian Rockies, as Betty and Susanna pedal their way along some nice Italian roads too.

Leslie is getting ready for the Grand Fondo and Alyson and Sandra for the High Pass Challenge. If you don't know what those are, long bike rides with thousands of feet of elevation gain.

Cheryl is getting ready for the Reykjavik Marathon in Iceland next weekend.

So there is still lots happening and much to do. Keep on moving.
